Scaaaaaaaaary!

Våga måste man göra ibland!

She sighed. Every breath felt like a stab to the chest. She rose from her red velvet clad chair, picked up one of the snow white candles from the window sill, and headed for the door leading outside.  She walked down to the water while carefully watching her steps in the darkness. The night had an almost eerie feeling about it. Upon reaching the side of the pond, she sat down and carefully placed the candle beside her. Silent tears started to trickle down her cheeks. She turned around to look at the mansion where she had spent most of her life. She could see the silhouettes of the people living there standing in the windows, looking down at her. Though, they would not see much more than the solemn light from the candle burning unsteadily in the chilly night. Many of those people were persons she loved very dearly. But the one she loved the most, he would not be standing amongst them. He would not dare to stand amongst them.

The gods had demanded a sacrifice; “For the sake of peace in the world”. They had demanded the offering of a broken heart; her heart. She cried. ”Funny”, she thought. ”I have the strength to mourn the loss of my life. The broken heart which would possible save everyone I have ever loved?” As her strength faded, she fell down next to the candle. Anger started to rage in what was left of her heart. She put her hands of either side of the candle and she prayed, or rather, she cast a spell.

”For those who demanded what rightly cannot be taken. For those who sacrificed what sacrificed should be not. For you whom has betrayed the hearts of others. For those who have lost all”.

With her strong magicks, she started to pour her soul into the ground.

”By the shaking earth. By the blazing fire. With the stormy waters, and with the heavens as my only witness. I bring you … the true power of a heart”

She poured all her sadness, sorrow, pain, anger and suffering into the earth. The ground shook; a strong wind rippled the surface of the normally calm waters of the pond. The light of the candle flickered and went out. With her dying breaths she cursed the human world and the heavens who had betrayed her. And the last thing that could be heard from her lips was:
”Only a righteous sacrifice will calm the rage of this heart. Only a true maiden’s heart will be able to sooth my pain”.
Kaeomi Willienaiyme III was dead. But her soul was enclosed in the earth, protected forever by strong elemental magicks.
